Proposed
Solutions

My two-part proposed solution for public transit in Cincinnati involves a short-term plan and a long-term goal for the city.

The short-term plan focuses on an expansion of the streetcar that currently exists in OTR and Downtown Cincinnati. To bridge the gaps between towns, streetcar expansion should focus on connecting to campus and close-by neighborhoods. This would give students easy access to surrounding areas, focusing on the “moldable” generation.

The long-term goal involves movement throughout interstates 71, 75, 275, 74, 126, and 562. This goal involves trucking exclusively on the 275 loop. With lessened traffic on inter-city highways, a single lane could be used to implement a light rail on existing infrastructure.
